When cleaning gold and silver jewelery, use cider vinegar to add that extra shiny finish, or you can use lemon with Colgate powder.If you have a dirty ring or jewelery including gold,soak overnite in the soft drink 7up or coca cola- but 7up is the best.It will come out sparkling.Leave Longer and change liquid if very dirty.you will be amazed at the result,and it is safe.Use toothpaste and a toothbrush.works better than jewelery cleaner.

How To Clean Old Coins

Just take a piece of tamarind and clean the old coins, all the stains will be removed.

How To Clean Off Candle Wax

To remove the candle wax from cloth or carpet, place a sheet of plain white paper over the stain and then gently run a warm iron over the paper. As if by magic you will see the paper soak up the wax!

Clean stainless steel sink by using distilled white vinegar and then polish thereafter.

Simply get a small bowl and have some warm water. Add in a small amount of baking soda, around a third of a cup perhaps, and mix.Put the small toy in the mixture and then wash around gently.Rinse with cold water,not for soft toys.

Get together a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, then add double of white vinegar, and a quart of warm water.Mix together lightly with a spoon.Then use a soft cloth and wipe across the wood surface, then use a clean, dry cloth to remove.This should work well at cleaning the wood surface as desired .

How To Get Muddy Stains Out Of White Fabric

 Soak in ice cold water with a little soap powder for 24hours before adding to usual washing load.

How To Get Ink Stains Out Of Fabric

 

To get ink stains out of clothing/fabrics pour rubbing alcohol on the stain, before you wash it, and when it comes out, the stain will have disappeared.

Before you wash ink stained clothes, tip a little milk over the stain, then wash in the usual manner.The milk and the contents within the milk will help the stain to be broken down. 

How To Clean Silverware

Drop a handful of washing soda in warm water and dissolve. Wrap the silver item in foil and place in water making sure all parts are covered. Leave for five minutes, take out, dry, and then polish with soft, dry cloth.


Take a piece of aluminum foil and put in the bottom of the sink (enough to cover most of the bottom), th
en pour in it of regular Baking Soda (Arm & Hammer works well) over it and pour boiling hot water into the sink. Mix water and soda lightly with a wood spoon and then place your silverware in there - the tarnish comes off after about an hour or two of soaking, making it look brand new..Place an aluminum foil in  sink etc add 2 spoons of kitchen salt in hot water and then immerse cutlery..Rub your silverware with a paste made of wood ash and water, rinse and dry..

How To Remove Grease From Clothes

Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains.

How To Remove Chewing Gum From Clothes

To get chewing gum unstuck from clothes, put clothing in freezer for a few hours, then pick the frozen piece of gum off.The cold works to loosen the grip between the clothes and the gum.  OR To get chewing gum off clothing, bathe the item in a plastic bag then put it in the freezer. When it has gone hard you can scrape it off with a knife.

How To Remove Grease Stains from clothes

To remove grease stains from clothes, Iron over the grease stain on the hottest setting allowed for the fabric, sprinkle with talcum powder, leave for 10 min, then wash as normal.

How To Remove Heat Stains From Dark Wood

Remove heat rings from dark wood polished surfaces by rubbing a little cigarette ash on to the mark and then repolishing.

How To Remove Lipstick Marks

If you get lipstick marks on a glass then rub the edge of the glass with salt and this will remove the lipstick marks.

Oil based paint and varnish will need to be sponged down with white spirit or paint brush cleaner. Then wash as normal.

How To Remove Pen From Leather

To remove pen from your leather couch, follow these steps:

First, spray with a little hairsprayNext, lightly rub off the hairspray .Repeat these two steps if needed
This does work, just remember this rule: never leave spray on the couch - always remove asap.

Use white spirit  to remove shoe polish from clothes then wash straight away .

How To Remove Stains

 

Beetroot, blackcurrant, coffee, fruit, tea, wine stains:
Soak any of these for one hour in some cold water, then wash in Ariel powder but don't use a colour or liquid detergent with it, then wash as normal.


Tar and beach oil stains can be removed by scraping off as much as poss, then soften the left over with butter.

Tomato and sauce stains should be soaked in cold water for one hour. Then wash as normal with detergent in the machine.

Nail varnish can be removed using acetone on any fabric excluding synthetics. Then wash as normal.

Glue and adhesive stains can be removed with nail varnish remover as well. Then wash as normal.

Iron, mold and rust stains should be sprinkled with salt and lemon juice, if not wool or silk materials. Leave over night then was as normal. Use a rust remover for worse stains.

If you have black marks on an enamel or plastic bath, use toothpaste on a cloth to remove them, rub over the stain and rinse off.

How To Remove Stains From Collars And Cuff

Save all your small pieces of leftover soap. When you have several, melt them down to a thick liquid in a container within boiling water. Leave to set to a thick substance, then using a tint or pastry brush rub on to stains on collars or cuffs etc., and place in washing machine as usual.

Easy ways to remove stains on clothes

 

These tips to remove stains from clothes are some general home remedies so they are natural and environmentally friendly methods.

 Use talcum powder to remove stains

Sprinkle generously and gently tap some talcum powder onto the spot that’s stained and leave it aside for about an hour. The talcum powder helps to absorb the oils and stains. When done, just brush off the powder from the material and proceed to wash as you normally would.

Use hot boiling water to remove stains
Stretch out stained area of your clothing over a large bowl and secure it properly so that it stays in place. Stand some 1 to 3 feet away from the clothing and carefully and slowly pour the boiling water into the stain. Continue to pour hot water onto the stain until the stain is substantially removed.

Use lemon to remove stains
Firstly, dampen the stained area with cool water using a sponge. Then, you can go two ways in using a lemon to remove stains from clothes. You can use a lemon slice to rub onto the stain or you can use lemon juice. You may want to soak the clothing after applying the lemon before you give it a wash.

4. Use vinegar to remove stains
