Mushroom fry flavored with garlic
Mushroom flavored with garlic, cumin seed and red chili. Easy to prepare and goes well as a side dish.
Ingredient
- Bottom mushroom: 250gm
- Onion chopped: 1 medium
- Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon
- Oil: 2 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
Fry and make coarse paste:
- Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
- Garlic cloves: 3 big
- Red chili: 1-2 (Depending on your taste)
How to cook
- Heat a pan with half the oil and fry garlic, cumin seed and red chili.
- When they turn light brown remove and let it cool a bit. Make a coarse paste of it.
- Wash and cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
- Heat the remaining oil in the same pan. Add chopped onions and fry till onions are transparent.
- Then add the mushroom, salt and turmeric powder.
- Mix well and fry on high heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring in between.
- Mix in the paste and cook for another 1 minute on high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook covered for about 5-7 minutes.
- Serve hot.
