Mushroom fry flavored with garlic


Mushroom flavored with garlic, cumin seed and red chili. Easy to prepare and goes well as a side dish.

Ingredient

  • Bottom mushroom: 250gm
  • Onion chopped: 1 medium
  • Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon
  • Oil: 2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

Fry and make coarse paste:

  • Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic cloves: 3 big
  • Red chili: 1-2 (Depending on your taste)

How to cook

  1. Heat a pan with half the oil and fry garlic, cumin seed and red chili.
  2. When they turn light brown remove and let it cool a bit. Make a coarse paste of it.
  3. Wash and cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
  4. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan. Add chopped onions and fry till onions are transparent.
  5. Then add the mushroom, salt and turmeric powder.
  6. Mix well and fry on high heat for about 3-4 minutes, stirring in between.
  7. Mix in the paste and cook for another 1 minute on high heat.
  8. Reduce heat to medium and cook covered for about 5-7 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
