Dhoka Dalna

» Ingredients
1/4 kg Chana dal,
2 big size potato,
2 medium size tomato
2 tbsp ginger paste,
2 tsp jeera powder,
2 tsp jeera seeds
2 tsp coriander seeds powder,
2 tsp chilli powder,
2 tsp haldi powder,
1tsp garam masala powder ,elaichi, lavang and dalchini together,
2tsp sugar,
1pinch asafetida
250 ml oil,
salt to taste.

 Method of cooking
Make fine paste of chana dal after soaking it for 4 hours. Cut potato and tomato in medium pieces and keep aside. Mix little salt, and one tea spoon each of chilly powder, ginger paste, jeera powder and coriander powder and half tsp sugar with chana dal pasteHeat one tbsp oil in a Kadai. Put asafetida in heated oil and add potatoes with little water.  add tomatoes and salt. Add chana dal, paste stir well in medium heat till the paste becomes almost dry. spread a half inch thick layer of the prepared mix on a plate Cut into one 1x1 inch sizes when it cools.
 Method of Serving
Cut into cubes and serve.
